Vision Coverage
Two options are available for students who desire vision coverage:

Vision PPO: This insurance is available to all students through a new arrangement with Tru Assure (a subsidiary of Delta Dental). The deadline to enroll is Friday, October 9th.
The vision coverage includes: one exam per year ($10 copay); frames up to $100 (20% off balance over $100); lenses ($25 copay); contacts up to $80 (15% off balance over $80).
Vision - Annual Rates:
Single: $76.08
Single +1: $152.04
Family: $228.12

Vision Discount Card: For no extra charge, students enrolled in U-SHIP will receive a dental and vision disocunt card, providing 10-30% discounts on certain services. For more information see the Health Allies Discount Program Brochure (PDF).
Students who are enrolled in the U-SHIP plan may search for information about participating providers at the UnitedHealth Allies webpage. The UnitedHealth Allies program can be used to get discounts on Vision providers here in the Hyde Park area as well as across the country. You can easily find this information by entering the type of provider you are looking for and the zipcode of the area in which you are seeking a provider.
Students who would like more information about and/or reviews of vision providers are encouraged to visit sites such as yelp.com. These user reviews may help you to pick one of the best opthalmologists in your area.
